dear santa

When I saw this Santa's Magic Key poem, I knew I wanted to create something similar in our home.  Because we have a fireplace, we have always told the kids that Santa comes down the chimney, so instead of doing the magic key, I decided to create a letter to Santa relating the same message.

In our home we celebrate the birth of Christ and add the whimsy of Santa too.  To help the kids remember what's important about Christmas, we will be including this letter to Santa along with his cookies.

The letter reads:

Dear Santa,
Thank you for coming to our house tonight.
We are celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.
Thank you Santa for the gifts you bring.
Thank you Lord for everything.
Merry Christmas,
Grant, Becky, Preston and Lyla

It's short and sweet, yet provides an significant message that the kids can understand.

Happy Holidays
