This amazing collection of beach bags was put together by Desiree @ Chic Coastal Living.  She has the most amazing style and always puts together the best fashion collections and the most beautiful homes and home decor finds.

Bags and purses are my weakness and I love every single one of these beach bags she selected so much that I had to share.  And J.Crew is having 25% off happening now, if you want to get your hands on one of these beauties.

weekend

Good Morning!  Hope your weekend was a good one.  This was a crazy busy weekend for us.  Preston had a Friday night and Saturday morning baseball game and Lyla had her dance recital on Sunday afternoon.  And because that wasn't enough for one weekend, we thought that we would squeeze in a wedding Saturday evening that was 3 hours away too  :)  Grant and I left the kids with grandparents and headed out after Preston's game and had a kid free night!  It was a busy, but fun weekend!

Have a great day!

in the garden

I don't know if it's because Mother's Day is right around the corner, but everything's coming up roses (and daffodils, and daisies and orchids.)

I've been enamored by all the pretty floral prints lately.

in bloom

I love, love Spring!  We've had some rain recently and everything is blooming.  I walked around our home yesterday and snapped a few pictures of all the colorful flowers.

So here's a little flower photo tour from our patio and landscape:

I have no idea what some of these are called, but they sure are pretty!

Have a Great Day!

blue and orange outdoors

Yesterday after I posted about our back patio update, I started browsing around for outdoor decor and my first stop was Serena and Lily. And what do you know...they've got lots of super cute new blue and orange outdoor decor - which so happens to be the colors I was dreaming about using out there :) Loving some of these pieces. You can go here, or click the links below each photo to see more of their summer sneak peek.

patio update

Good Morning! Back today to share a little about our back patio.   Awhile back, I wrote about our search for patio furniture that fit our budget, but haven't done an update. After having to return two of the four chairs that were damaged when they arrived, we did finally get a nice complete set. We've been really happy with the look, comfort and function of the set.

Now, I need some finishing touches.  I'm thinking of accenting with blue and this yummy tangerine color.  I'm so drawn to this color lately!

 Love the energy and warmth of orange. It has a bit less intensity than red, because it's calmed by the cheerfulness of yellow. It's energetic and grabs attention and I think it will be perfect for a summer patio!

Now that Spring is here ~ are you moving outdoors?

warm cream cheese and bacon dip

Happy Monday!  Hope you had a nice weekend!  We finally had a free weekend and so we headed to the coast.  I've had this recipe saved for awhile and finally had an occasion to give it a try.  I put it together on Friday and then finished baking it on Saturday and it was so good!

Warm Cream Cheese and Bacon Dip

Ingredients

1 package of real bacon pieces
1 - 8 ounce package of cream cheese (softened)
1 - 16 ounce container sour cream
2 cups of mild shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup of chopped green onion

Method

Preheat oven to 425 degrees
Combine sour cream and cream cheese and mix thoroughly until creamy
Add bacon pieces, shredded cheddar and green onion
Mix all ingredients together and place in a small baking dish
Bake in oven for 15 minutes or until edges are golden brown
Serve with crackers or tortilla chips

It was perfect...quick, easy and scrumptious!

take me out to the ball game...

 {Lyla's team, the Ponytails, cheering in the dugout.  Lyla is #3}

{Preston #4 and his buddies enjoying a post game snow cone and watching the older boys play}

Both kids are playing ball this Spring which is keeping us busy.  Preston is playing machine pitch Rookie 7 Little League and Lyla is playing 6 and under coach pitch softball.  With 2 -3 events each week per kid we have spent a lot of time at the fields both February, March and April.  It's been busy, but a lot of fun!

Enjoy your day!

bathroom storage tower {organization and $1 update}

Good Morning!  Thank you all so much for all the sweet comments and emails yesterday for our anniversary.  It was a romantic evening spent at the baseball and softball fields.  Preston had a game and Lyla had practice, so Grant and I headed in opposite directions :)  But we have a kid-free weekend planned for the end of April, so we can celebrate more then.

Our master bath has two storage towers on the side of our sinks.  My side was looking pretty sad.  It was a disorganized mess!  So I finally got around to getting it in order.

I used a small glass dish and bowl to hold some of my jewelry pieces.  And this simple flower coffee cup that I picked up at Home Goods, to hold some of my makeup brushes.  I added this beaded flower hook from Urban Outfitters to hold my bangles and bracelets.

I wanted to add a little color, so I used this bright, cheerful paper as backing.  I have been so inspired by Courtney's wrapping paper wallpaper in her daughter's closet office and Jennifer's bookshelf wrapping paper backing on her office shelves, that I felt this little space would be a perfect place to give it a try in my home. So this colorful paper backing these cabinets is from the Target dollar bin.

It was a simple little project that added some fun color and girlyness to my side of our bath.  And the best part is, when I'm tired of it, I can easily remove it!
