After Christmas Sales

Good Morning!  I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas celebration!  We are slowly recovering and still taking this week pretty easy.  I sat down and opened up my laptop yesterday and looked through a few after Christmas sales going on.  If Santa left you Christmas money, there are some great buys out there.  And one of my favorite sales is the Nordstrom Half Yearly Sale.  Up to 50% off on some items.  Above and below were some of my favorites!

I am off to start putting away our Christmas decorations.  Not near as fun as putting them up, but love having my house back.  Have a great day!

Merry Christmas 2016

Merry Christmas everyone!  It's such a wonderful time of the year and I'm hoping to take the next few days to savor these Christmas moments and enjoy good times with our family and friends.  My kiddos are bursting with excitement over the holiday and I want to fully enjoy it.  We are having friends over tonight and then it's family time after that.  There's no more need to share Christmas decorations or gift guides at this point, so I'm signing off for a few days.  I'll be posting a bit on IG, but I'm putting my laptop away until after Christmas.  Our house is decorated, the gifts are wrapped and baking is happening next.  I want to slow down the next few days and soak in this special time.

I am so thankful for the connections I have made through this blog and hope that your Christmas is filled with much happiness.  Wishing you all a Merry Christmas from our family to yours.

Peace and Love.

XO,
Becky

December Style Favorites

Happy Friday!  Today is the last day of school for my two and the start of the Christmas break.  We have early dismissal and then both are going home with their friends to start off the holidays.  They were so excited today not only because of a half day and heading to friends', but also to bring their teachers' gifts and to wear their pajamas!  Oh to be a kid again this time of the year :)

I felt like the last couple of weeks (maybe months) I've spent so much time looking for gifts for everyone and now that is done and I've finally shopped a little for myself.  The outfit above is nothing new, but pieces I've finally been able to wear now that our weather is cooler.  I shared on IG a couple of days ago, so thought I would share here too.  I love the red plaid button down in December!  The one I linked is only $12!

I also popped into Loft a couple of days ago and picked up a few things.  They have EVERYTHING 50% OFF using the code GIFTS.  Here's what I found:

I tried on all three and bought the first two.  All fit true to size for me...I bought size small for reference.  The lace bell sleeve top is fun and a little more dressy.  It's more full in the middle, but really cute partially tucked or I also liked it untucked and paired with skinny pants and heels.  The tie neck sweater is so comfy!  Thin, cozy material and fits like a blouse.  Hangs a little longer, so covers if you want to wear it with leggings or skinnies.  It will be one I go-to a lot!  Loved the last top too, just didn't need it.  But it would be so cute for a holiday party or new year's party.  Comes in red too.

I also bought this dress above and it should be delivered today.  I've been back and forth about it, but finally ordered it.  I did order two sizes though because the reviews are all over the place about the size.  But with Nordstrom's awesome free shipping and returns, I'll try them on and return one.  I love the ruffle detail and the three quarter length sleeves.

*Ruffle Hem Shift Dress Update - Just received this dress today and fits true to size for me.  I ordered a 4 and 6 based on the reviews to size up, but the size 4 was a great fit for me.  Length was good as well...a few inches above my knees and I'm 5'5".

And I ordered these heels to go with the dress.  Love the style and that the heel is not too high.  Those 4 inch heels are no good for me.  With 400+ reviews with almost 4.5 stars and less than $60, I thought I'd give them a try.

Below are some other December styles I love:

If I have a little time, here are some sales I plan to check out:

J.Crew - 40% off

J. Crew Factory - 50% - 60% off everything, extra 40% on clearance

Gap - 45% off

Old Navy - Up to 60% off

Loft - Everything 50% off

Pottery Barn - Up to 50% off

Target - spend $50, save $10 | spend $100, save $25

So many good sales!  Thank goodness for online shopping.  There's still time to order and get your items by Christmas with the standard or free shipping at most stores, but will only be for a day or two more, so hurry if you want to take advantage of that.

My Holiday Gift Idea Guide might also be helpful.

Have a Merry Weekend!

My Christmas Tour 2016 | 12 Days of Holiday Homes

Welcome to my 2016 Christmas Home Tour!  I'm so happy to be part of The 12 Days of Holiday Homes again this year with so many of my favorite bloggers!  The inspiration from this group is amazing and you can find the complete line up with direct links at the end of this post.  The tour is hosted by Jenny from Evolution of Style and Christy & Amy from 11 Magnolia Lane, who lined up a fabulous group.  And a big thank you to Lynch Creek Farms for sponsoring the tour.  Today three of us are sharing our homes, so be sure to hop over to The Pink Clutch and Life & Home at 2102 and check out their gorgeous homes decked out for the holidays.

It was really fun to decorate in our new home this year.  When we were first looking at our house during a showing, I was already scheming about where my Christmas décor would go and couldn't wait to pull it out this year.  So let's get started.

I loved using fresh greenery this year starting with my front porch.  The beautiful wreath on my front door is from Lynch Creek Farm which arrived so perfect.  I choose the Three Cedar Wreath with a Red Bow and then paired it with this mini cedar tree for a simple holiday front porch.

Another look at my pretty wreath and a peek at our Christmas tree from the front porch.  I love that you can see the tree lights from outside at night too.

Hi Sadie!

I really didn't plan to have this girlie in my tour, but she looked so pretty watching out the front door as I was photographing, so I grabbed a piece of ribbon to give her a more festive look so she could be included.

And I'm so proud to say that those wrapped presents actually contain gifts.  I was much more organized with my Christmas shopping this year.  And they sit below our family Christmas tree with everything from our fancy ornaments to all our special homemade ones.  I don't do anything else to it and love it like that!  It's so meaningful to us and fun to pull out the same ornaments every year and reminisce about them.

Fresh garland and eucalyptus for my mantel along with a few wooden Christmas trees and our linen stockings.

I continued the fresh garland on our stairs as well and added a simple bow.  I love the location of our tree in this home.  You can see it when you walk in the front door and it's in our view from the couch.  I can't wait for Christmas morning to lounge on the couch with my coffee and watch my kiddos open their presents!

I dressed up the dining room table with fresh greenery and a few holly berries.  With a little spritzing every other day, all my greenery has done so well.  My favorite charges and plates that I use for all occasions are paired with a crisp white napkin.  I added a little clipping and the black and white striped ribbon to finish off the place setting.

I added a few festive touches in the bedroom too.  My boxwood wreath is making another appearance, along side these pretty red mini flowers.  I've always wanted Christmas bedding and love this plaid blanket I added this year.  It's one of those pieces that makes me happy when I walk into the room.

And that wraps up my Christmas Home Tour.  Below is a complete line up of all the participants.  I've been so inspired by these homes and pinned lots of great ideas for next year!

Holiday Meals With The Kansas City Steak Company

Good Morning!  I hope you all had a great weekend!  It rained all weekend here and it's still raining now, so we were stuck inside for most of our weekend.  But we did get to work a lot on our kitchen remodel so that was good!  Things are coming along and I hope to do an update soon.

You may remember how one of my favorite times of the week is our Sunday dinner tradition, where we make a nice meal and set the dining room table.  We started a few years ago and it's still going strong.  It's our time to all gather together and catch up while we enjoy our meal.  The kids then take turns playing a few songs on the piano, while my husband and I finish our drinks.  It such an enjoyable time and a tradition we hope to continue for years to come.  Most of our Sunday meals usually include some type of steak.  My husband loves to grill, so he is usually in charge of the meat and I make the sides.  And a good quality steak is a must!  This week we grilled these Boneless Ribeye from The Kansas City Steak Company and they were amazing!  They were tender and full of flavor.  We knew they would be since this reputable company has been around since 1932 providing gourmet steaks and other top-of-line beef cuts.

For December, I decided to fancy up our breakfast table so we could enjoy our Christmas tree as well.  Being able to see the glowing tree while we eat is such a treat.  I love creating memories with our kids and the meals during the holidays are a special memorable time.  These steaks are a great centerpiece for a holiday meal, whether it's a casual family meal like ours or entertaining a larger group of loved ones.

The Kansas City Steak Company is also known for their gift giving solutions.  A perfect gift idea for loved ones this time of the year.  I know several of my family and friends who would love a gift of good taste including quality steaks and other fine foods.  When sending a gift to friends or relatives, you want it to be high quality and having personally enjoyed their steaks, I know this company is top notch.

The steaks come packaged in a beautiful, sleek black box and include The Original Steak Seasoning and a preparation booklet that contains cooking tips and recipes.

So whether you need great quality steaks for your next meal or entertaining event, or if you want to send a special gift, The Kansas City Steak Company is your go-to destination for quality steaks and other fine foods.  They deliver only the best!

Have a great day!

P.S.  The 12 Days of Holiday Homes is going on.  You can see the complete line up of homes participating here.

Holiday Gifts From Minted

Good Morning!  We are finally getting back in the groove after Thanksgiving break and all my attention is now focused on finishing up my Christmas gift list.  I did a lot yesterday during the Cyber Monday Sales and hope to finish up most everything this week.  We all know Minted for their beautiful cards and invitations, but they also have some really amazing gifts!  Today I thought I would share five of my favorite gifts from Minted.

One - Art.  Minted has a great selection of art pieces from their community of independent artist.  I recently added a couple of Minted art pieces to my home and love them!

This Courage to Remember Lily of the Valley by Renee Anne adds the perfect amount of color against my neutral walls.  I choose the matte brass frame which ties in beautifully with some of the gold I'm adding around my home.  I also love this Paperwhite art print by Jorey Hurley.  If you've been around my site awhile, you know I always have paperwhites in my Christmas décor.  And now I'll have paperwhites in print too!

Two - Framed Pinboards.  With several gorgeous fabrics to choose from, you can really make it a beautiful place to display your favorite pictures, reminders, and other mementos.  I really like this classically elegant fabric.  The pinboards also come in many different sizes, making it easy to find one that fits your recipient's space.

Three - Personalized Notebooks.  These can be customize for your loved one making them even a little more special.  This pretty one above is called Spring Flourishes.  Once you choose a front design, you can personalize it with a name and then add personal photos or a special quote in the interior.

Four - Custom Silhouette Art Prints.   A great way to capture a child, pet or loved one in a fun way.  You simply upload a profile picture and the Minted design team turns it into a beautiful silhouette art print

Five - Personalized Stationary.  This Posey Blush Stationary is a design challenge winner and is printed on luxe paper and comes with a complimentary gift box.  A perfect gift for someone special.

These are five of my favorite Minted gifts, but there are lots more ideas on their site.  Have a great day!
